Police Museum Hosts Holiday Party Dec. 1

Participate in the Toys for Tots campaign, get the latest facts on toy safety and recalls, and enroll your child in Operation SAFE CHILD at a holiday party at the New York City Police Museum this Saturday, Dec. 1 (noon-3pm), sponsored by ConEdison. This will be a day of holiday cheer, festive goodies, and arts activities!

The Museum asks you to help it help those who are less fortunate by participating in the Toys for Tots program, which collects new, unwrapped presents and then distributes the gifts to needy children in the community. While dropping off donations, create a police-themed holiday ornament, and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate.

The Police Museum is also delighted to help you keep your little ones safe this holiday season by providing the latest information on toy safety and recalls from the National Safe Kids Campaign. Also, NYPD officers will be on hand to enroll your child in Operation SAFE CHILD, a national law enforcement registry, and will give you a SAFE CHILD IDcard. Enrolling your child in Operation SAFE CHILD can greatly assist law enforcement officials to quickly respond to a child's emergency.

Admission to the Holiday Party is free when you bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots! Advance registration is recommended by calling 212-480-3100, or via email to events@nycpolicemuseum.org.

The New York City Police Museum is located at 100 Old Slip (Water-South Sts.), 212-480-3100; www.nycpolicemuseum.org.
