Nat 'King' Cole Birthday Tribute
Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
Vocalist Nicolas Bearde and saxophonist Vincent Herring join forces to celebrate the March 17 birthday of the one and only Nat King Cole. Cole was a musical trailblazer who was an impeccable jazz pianist whose soothing, baritone vocals made him a popular music icon. Bearde's affinity for this music led to his latest recording, the acclaimed I Remember You: The Music of Nat King Cole, released last year for Cole's birth centennial. Bearde also participated in Herring's recent album Hard Work adding another chapter to their shared history. All About Jazz says, "(Nicolas) Bearde soothes, seduces, and cements his place as an inheritor of Nat King Cole's cool." And, The New York City Jazz Record states, "Herring has firmly established himself as one of his generation's masters."
