Tobi Kahn Exhibition Opening: Memory & Inheritance
The Museum at Eldridge Street is proud to present Memory & Inheritance, an exhibition featuring the work of award-winning artist Tobi Kahn.
Join us for an exhibition opening featuring an informal talk by the artist about his first solo museum exhibition in New York City in more than ten years!
Memory & Inheritance contemplates ritual, tradition, and memory, both personal and collective. Kahn’s luminous paintings and his singular Judaica, more than four dozen in total, will be shown in the Museum’s historic synagogue home, inviting reflection and meditation.
Informed by American modernism, Kahn’s abstract, distinctively crafted works on Jewish ritual and tradition communicate spiritual meaning, and invite you to ponder the relationship between yourself and a larger spiritual community regardless of your own faith and traditions.
Memory & Inheritance will be on view May 16, 2024 through November 10, 2024. Learn more about the exhibition at eldridgestreet.org/tobi-kahn.
