Central City Chorus presents "Hold Fast To Dreams"
Central City Chorus, directed by Brian Mummert, is delighted to announce its return to in-person singing with “Hold Fast to Dreams,” a musical exploration of the role of night and dreams in our lives.
Repertoire for the concert includes portions of medieval Compline chants, Tudor polyphony written for Compline services, Johannes Brahms’ Four Quartets, Op. 92, which each consider a different angle on night or ending, and new works by contemporary composers Henrik Dahlgren, Roderick Williams, and Joel Thompson on texts by poets including Emily Dickinson and Langston Hughes about dreams.
