Open Level Contemporary Dance
Class is an open level contemporary class rooted in modern dance technique. Class begins with several improvisational scores to fire up physical and creative pathways. This will lead into structured warm-up exercises in center and across the floor. Class will end by learning longer phrase work. While some technical dance experience is helpful in class, dancers of all levels are encouraged to come. Lucas has much experience teaching to new dancers, and this informs his teaching style through the cues and modifications he offers. Above all else, class should be a celebration of our bodies and their unique abilities, so exploration, agency, and adaptation are encouraged throughout class to ensure it is a safe, challenging, and fun experience for each dancer.
__
Payment will be a "Pay What You Can" model, with a suggested donation price set at $12, to ensure that class price is not a barrier for attendance.
