The first annual Very Big Very Asian Comedy Festival (VBVA) will take place from May 12th to May 15th, 2022 at Broadway Comedy Club. This is the first all AAPI Comedy festival with Stand-Up and Roast Battles, while focusing on comedy, community, and connections. Talent includes Atsuko Okatsuka (The Late Late Show with James Corden), Usama Siddiquee (America's Got Talent), Keith Johnson (Comedy Central), Ayanna Dookie (FOX's Laughs), Brittany Carney (Comedy Central), Joshua Fonokalafi (Dry Bar Comedy), Manolo Moreno (Comedy Central), Dylan Adler (TikTok Live), Jocelyn Chia (Comedy Central Asia), Ron Josol (Comedy Cellar), Comedians will be coming in from the Philippines, Canada, Texas and more. The festival will also work with community leaders such as SOAR OVER HATE and is sponsored by APICHA Community Health Center, and other organizations to celebrate Asian American Heritage Month.

This festival is created by Christine Kim (Executive Producer, SNL Scholarship, St. Nells), who has produced many shows in NYC focusing on uplifting diverse comedians in every lineup. VBVA Comedy will continue to run regular shows after the festival in May, aiming to amplify and uplift the comedic talents and voice of the AAPI community year-round.
