The Belmont Business Improvement District is thrilled to announce the Ferragosto festival in Bronx Little Italy!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for a day filled with Italian culture, delicious food from our local businesses, and wonderful live entertainment to world-famous Arthur Avenue and East 187th Street on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

This ancient Roman festival dates back to 18 B.C. when the gathering was created in honor of the emperor, Caesar Augustus. For over 20 years, the merchants of Bronx Little Italy have banded together to keep this Italian tradition alive by engaging visitors in Italian culture, tradition, music, and of course, authentic food.

The Ferragosto event continues to grow each year with thousands of guests who travel from near and far to make it part of their family tradition. Ferragosto is a way to convene our customers and supporters in a festival-like atmosphere and share what we have to offer as an authentic Little Italy.Attendees love to be immersed in Italian culture and experience all the fun, food, and music the festival has to offer. Ferragosto is a chance for people to experience first-hand the neighborhood’s old-world charm and tradition of good taste.
