Leona Lewis will soon be leaving her little cat’s feet—or thigh-high boots, as the case may be—at the Neil Simon Theatre’s stage entrance. She’ll be out the door after her Sunday, October 9th performance. Evidently the media blast surrounding the pop star’s Broadway debut as “Memory”-singing Grizabella in the revival of Andrew Lloyd Webbers’ Cats wasn’t enough to make Lewis a permanent housecat...either that, or she had a short and secretive contract.

The first murmur of Lewis’s exit came by way of a tweet this past Tuesday: “Wow can't believe less than a month til I leave NY, time has flown by, I'll miss my ?@CatsBroadway family like crazy!”
As for LL’s replacement, that’s remains a TBA. Meow, theatregoers...me-ow!!
