Workshop Two (January 14): Evoking Earthseed
The second workshop of the Food For Thought series, Evoking Earthseed, asks participants to use poetic form to explore the implications of their archives. In particular, we will write a collaborative poem modeled after Octavia E. Butler’s Earthseed. Through this practice, participants will explore the relationship between food and the Earth/environment. Participants are encouraged to join us for the final workshop following this one, Feeding the Homies, in which we will engage with our local communities through food making and recipe cultivation.
