Layla and Majnun Week: Learn to dance Layla and Majnun!
We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with Mark Morris’s delightful Layla and Majnun, a classic love story well-known in the Middle East in its first large-scale Western presentation. This weeklong digital program includes a full-length screening of the work, as well as a livestreamed Q&A with dancers and musicians, a multimedia exhibit, virtual dance classes, and more.
Join our hybrid class and learn excerpts from Mark Morris’s exquisite dance. Perfect for the whole family, this Dance with MMDG class will be taught by former MMDG dancer Brian Lawson and will be accompanied by Ai Isshiki. You can join us in person at the Mark Morris Dance Center or from home via Zoom.
This hybrid class is free, with a suggested donation.
