Walk the Talk: The Health for All Challenge
Join NYC’s first-ever Walk the Talk: The Health for All Challenge, a 4-mile, non-competitive walk/run in celebration of health and well-being. The purpose of the event is to encourage people to exercise and stay fit and to support the idea that everyone – no matter where they live – deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare. It will gather people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities together in support of universal health coverage on the eve of the UN High-level Meeting on UHC and the Climate Action Summit.
The walk will be led by WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, a visionary leader and champion of Health for All. Other leaders and celebrities will also be participating. The walk is free to all and the first 4,000 participants will receive an event T-shirt.
Organized by the World Health Organization, the United Nations and the New York City Mayor’s Office for International Affairs.
Venue: Central Park
