HBO Shop Debuts "Sex and the City" Holiday Window

New York, NY - The HBO ShopSM in conjunction with New Line Cinema debuted a "Sex and the City" themed window showcasing the new Sex and the City movie trailer on December 7. The HBO ShopSM is located at 1100 Avenue of the Americas at 42nd and Sixth Avenue in New York City.

The HBO ShopSM has created a striking "Sex and the City" holiday window to build excitement for the release of the Sex and the City feature film from New Line Cinema in association with HBO on May 30, 2008. A 3-D, rose embroidered frame showcases the trailer, alongside a mannequin in a Marchesa rose runway dress opening holiday gifts in the window. The window's theme is drawn from elements quintessential to "Sex and the City", such as fashion and style. The rose motif is repeated everywhere - in print, on the dress, and in embroidery. The only unopened package is for the upcoming movie, which says "SATC Movie. Do Not Open Until May 2008."

In addition, the HBO ShopSM has launched a viral marketing effort with teams of carolers on streets of New York. The carolers will be singing a holiday song, the first verse begins as follows:

On the first day of Christmas,

My BIG LOVE gave to me

SEX AND THE CITY DVDs

The song is intended to create anticipation for the Sex and the City film release and to bring holiday shoppers to the HBO storefront.

Sex and the City comes to the big screen in a feature film adaptation of the hit HBO television series. The film will follow the continuing adventures of the series four main characters - Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda - as they live their lives in Manhattan four years after the series ended. Stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are all on board to reprise their roles while the film will be written and directed by Michael Patrick King, who executive produced the original television series. Additionally, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler and Jason Lewis will return as the women's love interests. Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls) has also joined the cast of the film and will play Carrie Bradshaw's assistant, a new character to be introduced in the film.
