Antiques Helping Animals

From Nov. 1-30, Manhattan Art & Antiques Center (1050 Second Ave., 212-355-4400; www.the-maac.com) presents Antiques Helping Animals, an exhibition and sale of animal motif art & antiques to benefit the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Paintings, sculpture, jewelry, silver, rugs, and objects of art featuring animals, birds, and/or fish will be on view and for sale in the numerous galleries housed in the Center. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from purchases of art or antiques featuing animals will be donated to the ASPCA.

On four Thursdays in November (11/1, 11/8, 11/15, and 11/29), the ASPCA's state-of-the-art adoption van will be on hand from 4-6pm with animals available for adoption.

New York's largest antique center, Manhattan Art & Antiques Center houses over 100 galleries on three city block levels with varied collections from America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. They specialize in fine furniture, silver, jewelry, tapestries, paintings, clocks, and many other objects of art.
