A Second Chance: NYC’s Best Designer Resale Boutique

Always dreamt of owning a vintage Chanel purse, golden chain and all? How about some Jimmy Choo pumps? A Second Chance, an authentic luxury retail store, can help make those dreams a reality for you, even if you’re living on a budget. Whether you feel like popping into one of their two store locations (Upper East Side and SoHo) or shopping their webstore, it’s nearly impossible not to score a deal on some vintage designer gems at A Second Chance.

The Shop

There’s something about designer pieces that never goes out of style, and you’ll find all sorts of them at A Second Chance. Luggage, purses, belts, sunglasses, hats, and umbrellas are just a few of the designer accessories you’ll come across both in stores and on A Second Chance’s webstore. There’s also no shortage of designer clothing to be discovered, from Roberto Cavalli vintage leather jackets and Hermes button-up sweaters to Oscar de la Renta knee-length dresses and Chanel wool suits. And, of course, you’ll find stockpiles of vintage designer jewelry of all sizes and shapes.

The Backstory

Chanel… that’s where it started. A Second Chance’s founder had a love and passion for the designer brand that eventually grew to encompass more and more designers, including Louis Vuitton and Hermes. As her dreams grew bigger (as well as her inventory), so did her team—and thus, A Second Chance was born.

And the story doesn’t stop there. The founder’s daughters developed their own love of designer labels and spent many after-school afternoons hanging out in their mother’s boutique. That being said, it seems only natural that they joined their mother’s business, the elder in 2008 and the younger in 2010. To complete the family circle, the founder’s husband joined A Second Chance in 2012, making this authentic luxury resale store a true “family business” in every sense.
